3rd April 2012 - First Rain

Today is the first time we've had rain for ages - hurray because the gardens desperately need watering along with all the reservoirs.
The girlies (Milly and Molly chickens) have been very naughty! Yesterday they escaped out of their run and proceeded into the forbidden garden dug up my raised beds!

Then they decided it would be great fun to unearth the recent finished hyacinths and daffodils I had planted out, hoping they might flower again next year.

Mr.P was very cross with them and threw them into their run early as a punishment!

Then this morning Molly was making such a racket - which is hard work for a chicken. After a while of observing them suddenly Molly makes a run for it with a mouse dangling by its tail from her beak! Well because she can't keep quiet for too long - she opened her beak and the mouse fled for freedom!
